Reflection as a key to teaching development

Watched the video about Rod Bolitho talking about the importance of reflection http://courses.britishcouncil.org/teachertraining/mod/page/view.php?id=7493.
Questions for self-development of every teacher:

1. how did I feel before the lesson and why
2. how did I feel during the lesson and why
3. how did I feel after the lesson and why
4. what can I do to improve the situation

Feedback from learners(e.g. a "no-name" questionnaire) may help clear out how you're doing in the classroom.
I agree that it would be great to have pre-service trainers to guide your teaching development, but you can't force somebody to develop - it's a process from within. Truly is.
